Harmony Hearts Cont.

I was so proud of Grade 4 & 5’s effort in creating beautiful Harmony Day Hearts. Students began by drawing with fine liner and next week they will use watercolours to colour their hearts. I think they will look great!

Harmony Fun!

We are all learning about Indian culture this week from our special visitors Parvyn and Josh. We are all joining in with the dancing and music and on Harmony Day we will show you what we can all do. Come along and see for yourself. It will be spectacular!

Let’s wake up our Brains!

Junior students are trying out some Brain Gym exercises in Creative Arts. Specific movements are designed to improve concentration, learning and brain function. It’s a bit tricky, even for Mrs. Bicknell. We will all just keep on trying. Good effort everyone!

Harmony Hearts

Grade 2 and 3 are creating Harmony Hearts using Oil Pastel and Water Colour. They have to creatively include their favourite things and use their favourite colours to complete the background.

Preps loved being cheeky monkeys from India!

Yes, that’s right. This week the Preps are enjoying themselves as they swing from tree to tree like monkeys, stomp like big grey elephants and ROAR loudly like tigers that live in India. The Creative Arts room is a very noisy place to be! Mrs Bicknell will need ear plugs!

Singing for Everyone!

Today we launched a pilot program in the Thursday Creative Arts classes! Not wanting to give too much away, but we are working with the incredible Tricia Sargant and the very talented Michael! This is going to be so much fun, watch this space with eager anticipation for regular updates.

Lyric Writing

As Harmony Day approaches (Friday 28th February) we in the 3-6 Creative Arts are rewriting lyrics to a very famous song to make it relevant to our wonderful school. Creative juices are flowing, can’t wait to put it altogether and teach everyone!
