Visiting SAM

Our Grade 5 and 6 students were given the opportunity to visit the Shepparton Art Museum last week. We were lucky enough to see both the Cornucopia and 80/80 exhibitions. Cornucopia was about the abundance of food and other food related issues – very thought provoking! The students saw an original Andy Warhol screen print and one artwork (made by some Melbourne artists) was made almost entirely out of icing! 80/80 celebrates the artworks collected over the last 80 years. The students were amazed by one of the sculptures ‘Woman and Child’ by Sam Jinx.
